Donna S. Barfield, Esq.
Senior Real Estate Attorney
Donna Barfield founded The Sage Companies after serving real estate clients for more than 20 years as the Senior Attorney at Barfield, P.A, an AV rated real estate law firm. Donna graduated from Mercer University School of Law in 1984 and began her legal career in a large Miami law firm, focusing on civil litigation, creditors' rights in bankruptcy proceedings and on diverse and complex real estate transactions. Barfield, P.A., established in 1987, has been a member of Attorney's Title Fund for nearly two decades, and Sage Title & Escrow is an outgrowth of the law firm's transactional services. The affiliation of the law firm puts Sage's clients in the opportune position of having immediate access to attorneys who are pleased to assist with legal counseling, drafting or modifying contracts, negotiations and problem solving to get the deal to closing.
Ryan R. McCain, Esq.
Associate Attorney
Ryan R. McCain joined The Sage Companies and its affiliate Barfield, P.A. after receiving his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Stetson University in 2003 and his J.D. degree, graduating cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law in 2006. While at Stetson College of Law, he was honored to be a senior associate for the Stetson Law Review, served as a Federal Judicial Intern to the Honorable Magistrate Judge Elizabeth Jenkins in the Middle District of Florida, and was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Honors Fraternity. Additionally, Ryan received the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award and the Collegiate All-American Scholar Award while at Stetson University College of Law.

Anné Desormier-Cartwright brings 20 years of real estate experience to The Sage Companies. Ms. Desormier-Cartwright received her B.A. degree, with high distinction, from Pennsylvania State University and her J.D. degree from Boston University in 1984. She has been practicing for more than 20 years in South Florida. She lectures frequently on landlord/tenant and construction lien law, trust and estate administration and elder law. Additionally, she is a member of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law, Elder Law and Trial Lawyers sections of the Florida Bar and probate and Guardianship, Elder Law and Guardianship Education Committees to the Palm Beach County Bar Association.
Ms. Anné Desormier-Cartwright serves as an instructor for the Guardianship Education course sponsored by Catholic Charities of Palm Beach County.
Marie D. Bevis

Marie Bevis is thrilled about the partnership with Barfield P.A., Donna Barfield, and David Setaro in the formation of The Sage Companies; Sage Real Estate Services, Sage Title & Escrow, Inc. and Sage Acquisitions.
Ms. Bevis has over seventeen years of experience in property management. Regional Manager for the following management companies: Meadow Wood Property Company 1983-1989, Investors Real Estate Management 1989-1991, Property Asset Management 1991-1993 Lincoln Property Company1993-1997, Archon Residential Services1997-2001, Florida Vice President with Meadow Wood Management 1985-1989, Archon Residential Services 1999- 2001. Florida Vice President for Charles E. Smith 2001-2003 with a high rise portfolio of 5500 high rise units. She has supervised through new construction and lease up of Eaglewood in Orlando, Florida, a 550 unit community with 18 hole golf course, pro shop and café.
Additionally, Ms. Bevis has taught property management for Hillsborough Community College, Florida Atlantic University. She is a Past President of Bay Area Apartment Association, Florida Apartment Association, NAA Society of Apartment Property Supervisors. Ms. Bevis also served on National Apartment Association's Education Committee for eleven years, Served as board member of South East Florida Apartment Association for nine years.
Ms. Bevis became a Licensed Real Estate Associate in 1995 and licensed Real Estate Broker in 1999.
Carol Watson

Title Closing Processor/Mortgage Broker
Carol Watson brings a wealth of real estate experience to The Sage Companies and has a combined 20 years of experience as a real estate litigation paralegal and title closing coordinator/processor. Prior to joining The Sage Companies Carol worked at Hurd, Horvath & Ross in Palm Beach Gardens for over eight years as a real estate paralegal and title closer.
In addition to her many professional achievements, in August 2005 Carol became a licensed real estate professional. She sold over two million dollars in property during her first year as a real estate agent.
Ms. Watson obtained a Bachelor Degree in Public Administration from Florida International University in 1989. She is a Miami native who moved to West Palm Beach in 1993 with her husband, Michael. Carol is the proud mother of two, Alex and Tamara.
